I was so eager
To go scuba diving in your soul
I could see just below the surface
Miles of coral reefs
and kelp bed forests
That would rivial the coasts of Belize
So many colors and sea caves to drift through
I wanted to know the curvature of every wave

I never realized how many venoms your soul hid from me
I can't maintain buoyancy
with squid arms wrapped around me
I can't read the air meter
when lightening charged eels short circuit
I can't get out unscathed
through your blanket of jellyfish

Your pretty had perils I couldn't fathom
