At the gates of hell I emerge
adoption papers in hand
Spanned wings of fallen angels
pull me in by vigorous command
All earthly remnants stripped
vulnerability overexposed
Echo of heavy steel frame
reverberated as it closed
Figures cloaked in black
ornate every niche
Guardsmen front portcullis
torches in hand they clinch
Winged goat-like beasts
with horns and jagged teeth
Beleaguered this pit of darkness
Lucifer boastfully beneath
Wrists shackled in chains
hoisted over fiery waves
Excruciating faces
pierces up at me in raves
The beasts ascended quickly
Lucifer tauntingly drummed
Safety of the chains unbolted
into hell's fire I plumed
