Like Langston I've known rivers
The ones the fish and wildlife miss
Where you here the waters splash against the rocks
The ones where you need a boat around the clock
The fishermans shoes without socks
Calm and collected they are you once thought
Where your dreams have to work too hard
Never will I forget these rivers
Once your body makes contact with it's cold you shake and shiver
