Forget to Forgive
They say you should forgive but that you should never forget.
We should live our lives remembering the things we can't regret.
Some things are meant to teach us and leave us behind.
To teach us what they mean when they say that love is blind.
We must learn the hard way, that love takes clear vision.
Love does not change who we are or leave us in a prison.
It's the ones who show us how to love beyond every flaw;
The very few who can get to our core to love us raw.
You were not my destiny; merely just came as a lesson,
And even through the pain, I can see our time as a blessing.
I'll never be able to not remember all the things you said;
when you forget to remember, does it mean forgiveness is dead?
