A dangerous game
I have played a dangerous game,
(It is called trust)
I have trusted a man with no name,
He said, "I will lead you to a family of joy,"
Years after, he cited, "Joy has no room for you."
I crawled in my skin,
and leaned against the wall,
My nails dug into my head
causing my brain to bleed,
This heart of mine ripped apart,
Throes of pain leaped my
heart out of my chest,
Out of the window peace depart,
Day and night there was no rest.
I cried as if my soul will never return,
Blood dripped from my eyes,
Forming a pool for me to sleep on,
Why is death not taking me?
There's no way I will meet joy!
Sorrow has welcomed me with open arms,
Who said I wanted you?
Who said I needed your welcoming?
I loathe pain, I despise sorrow,
But why do they love me?
NO, please don't love me.
Hate me, hate me pain,
like I do hate you.
Trust is a dangerous thing,
You play it, it kills you.
