Stardust
The stars I gaze at

Are burning, taken over by fire,

Just like the sun I most admire.

Each star is one of maybe billions,

Though they would not know it

From the size of the universe.

They believe they must live a curse

Of burning day and night

As lonely as can be.

They do not know we wish with all our might

To reach for the stars

And wish upon a star

For our little life

To take us far.

They do not know their fire guides us

In the loneliest of hours

For though we may thrive when the sky is blue

We are made of stardust too.
