If only wishes can come true,
I have one or two or maybe a few,
And they're all about you,
My love, my dear, below, I hope yours are about me too.

I was hopeless, lonely, and scared,
So when you came to me was I unprepared,
Always, I wandered through shades of the night,
Dark with no signs of any kind of light.

The melting tenderness of the night,
It disappeared as you appeared at my sight,
I have loved you and you loved me in return,
We loved so intensely you started to burn.

I didn't notice I was holding too tightly,
The love that we had, the love that was burning brightly,
Was doused and gone was the light,
And I was filled with tremendous fright.

I don't wanna let go but I was hurting you,
I hear your cries of pain as I continue to hold you,
You were screaming at me and you wanted me to let go,
And I did when I saw your tears flow.

I saw Violet when I was suffering from the pain,
You left me alone and I was back in the dark again,
I wasn't crying but I just don't wanna live anymore,
So everyday I pray, I hope that you walk through that door.

But you never did and I saw Indigo,
I was cold but you were not there to hold me, no, no, no,
I was shivering and I yearn for your touch,
I want you to come back, I miss you so...
