Asteroid Doom Survivors
#WritcoPoemChallenge
Harbinger of our doom,
Hurtling through space,
The asteroid is here too soon

A cosmic force, a brutal grace,
It brings destruction, leaves no trace,
A harbinger of our doom.

From out of darkness it did loom,
With mighty speed, it did race,
Hurtling through space.

The earth it strikes, a deafening boom,
A cataclysmic impact takes place,
Leaving behind a barren tomb.

The end has come, no saving grace,
Our fate sealed by this celestial face,
The asteroid is here too soon.

But in this dark and desperate gloom,
We find a glimmer, a spark of hope,
A chance to rise, to boldly cope.

For in our hearts, we have the power,
To rebuild, to grow, to flower,
And rise again from cosmic doom.

So let us face this threat head on,
With courage, strength, and unity,
And though the road may be long,
We'll forge ahead with clarity.

For even in the face of death,
We'll fight until our final breath,
And rise above the asteroid's gloom.

For we are humans, strong and true,
And there is nothing we can't do,
Together we'll survive this doom.
