Breaking fast
on this late cold, cold spring morning
wondering
if the seasons rewound back to winter,
without me knowing?
Did they fast-forward to autumn & winter?
Where, I ask, I plead,
what happened to the blossoming spring,🌱
to the sunshine,
after the longest winter time?
Where is the sunshine,
that was beckoned to come
to warm the earth, my body & soul?
Where, where are those,
those long, glorious, sun-filled days?
Where, where are those blue skies?
Those blue skies to wash away winter's blues
heaven knows, oh how we need them
won't you,
send us some with sunshine & with love...
