Wintery Souvenirs : Past Tense
I'd been laying on the terrace since this afternoon,
I asked the clouds to go look for you.
Thereafter, I waited, for the stars and the moon.
Hugging me from afar, said they found no clue.

Next to the memories, I had kept in a box.
For a moment, I lay as still as a cold out corpse.
Wiping away my tears, I smilingly say
"Maybe a test of my patience, She'll return someday".

I spent the whole night, recalling our history,
How a sinner like me, stumbled upon a fairy.
Every once in a while, cold winds slip past me,
Shivering up my senses, wake me up to reality.

For now, I'm waiting for you despite feeling alone,
Spend days, telling myself that you're coming home.
I've left the lights on and unlocked the door,
I've missed the sound of your steps on the floor.

Since you've been away, everything has changed,
But my love for you stays exactly the same.
"Us" in the past tense, doesn't make sense.
The way I can't imagine waterless oceans.
