Everyone's light
You radiated JOY with just a sight
Suddenly, your light went out
All too soon
Cancer

Walking through sludge
Slowing me down
Heaviness weighs upon me
Darkness becoming my best friend
Now that you are gone
Time slowing
Only adding distance between us
Between the day you died and forever on

Craving sleep
Time in which my brain
Could take leave
Yet the nightmares prevent
So mentally pained I awake
No reprieve from missing you
No vacation in which I take a break
From missing you and from that I ache

Forgetting you isn't possible nor desired
