I've been in the dark for way too long
every escape I plan is nearly vain
for it leads me back
But I hope it counts,
every attempt, every struggle towards up
There are many ways to look at it
I'm super grateful for the one you choose
I won't deny, I sure do feel your love from here below
Even in the darkest of moments
I see you fighting for me
I can't read the future
but I look forward to the day
I'll read this words in reflection
as I live the life ahead of me that lay
see it all came to pass
Although every escape I plan leads me back
to questioning myself
to wondering how far I can go from this
something about you keeps me fighting
because I want to lead a different life
