I am eternally thankful to you,
why?
because you taught me that not all feelings can be ignored,
you made me feel the things I never felt before.

I am thankful to you for showing me how others could be,
for showing me that not everyone are the same way they seem.
for letting me know I could let people go,
and feel guilty while trying to feel happy.

I am thankful to you for breaking me,
because I had been so full of myself,
you let me see the things I couldn't see,
you broke my ego and me.

I am thankful to you for ignoring me for weeks,
for letting me realise how obsessed I had become,
for letting me know that I could be a little numb.

I am thankful to you for saying that 'you just didn't want to talk',
you showed me that without holding hands someone could walk,
you taught me how to not hang on to you.

I am thankful to you for liking her more,
because I realised how many problems I brought into our lives,
because I didn't know that others feelings would've mattered these many times.

I am thankful to you for making me feel bad,
because if not I would have been dead inside,
you taught me how to guilt trap myself,
it was better than blaming myself for no reasons at all and end up feeling like hell.

I am thankful to you for not liking me at all,
it made me realise that there are walls,
for helping me know what to do when I fall.

I am thankful to you for making me learn how to control my emotions inside,
you also taught me how to freely cry,
I am thankful to you for not being by my side.

You were not my first,
but I'll consider you my last,
you made me see that feelings could be vast.
