Bold strokes of a confident hand,
The painting is a masterpiece,
Executed as planned but i felt
Something is missing,
Even after adding all the colors,
It still looked incomplete,
Contemplating what to add,
I abandoned the brush
and dipped my fingers in the paint,
but didn't dare to touch the canvas,
afraid that my one single wrong
stroke will spoil it's beauty,
but my mind Is not letting me sleep
urging me to bring life to the painting,
i sat there on the park's bench
for hours staring at the painting,
An old lady passing by stopped
and stood there for a minute,
I felt so insecure that she'll
dislike my art that is incomplete,
She pulled out a camera from her bag
and clicked a picture of the art,
she looked at me smiling and gave a nod.
That single gesture of hers
helped me to look at my art
from a new colorful view,
Then i understood the missing piece
is my lack of self confidence.
