You saw beautiful poems.
Because of you I call myself a poet.

I told you an idea I had.
You saw a touching story ready to be told.
Because of you I call myself a writer.

I told you a wish to share my writing.
You saw a bright future.
Because of you people read what I write.

I told you I'm writing again.
You called them my works.
Because of you I have a portfolio.

I floundered for years, not knowing what to do with my life but
Because of you I dream of being published.

I may never be a literary giant but
Because of you I strive to be.
