Fake Hope
The moon rolled in
Through my window last night
To whisper in my ear
"Someone is coming"
I stared and wondered
If I should trust
The moon and the stars
They are so beautiful
And beautiful things
Often lie
But soon I was waiting
By my open window
Dancing with the moon
It took a while but
My dances became
Tired frowns
A cold breeze
Shoved its way into my room
And I shivered under a cold blanket
And tired frowns
Soon turned into
Heavy eyelids
The moon had lied
But the sun whispered the truth
"No one is coming"
And soon my room
Was filled with warm hugs
For my teary eyes.
