Sleepless nights keep company here in nightmares as I lay.
Skies above seem cloudy as the storms rage turns to gray.
Thing's in life are scary and love can be the greatest fear.
Loving someone so deeply just to watch as they disappear.
Love can be one of those things that you watch as it dies.
You can fight so hard to win and still lose out on the prize.
How can love be not enough even when it's all we've got?
Love is the only priceless piece that can never be bought.
What if without you; I can't get rid of this hollow ache?
How will I survive losing with my heart held by it's break?
I'm counting down the hours of what's left of my time.
Not knowing how I'll make it now that you aren't mine.
Losing all the minutes and the hours as I waste to sleep.
Trying to eat away to the time that you were meant to keep.
Holding on to a hope that I'll have you back again somehow.
Keeps me going through the motions; not living in the now.
Cause the now it feels so empty without you here by my side.
Looking back I convinced myself that I had really tried.
I lost you so easily when I thought we'd never say goodbye.
All I'm left with is praying you'll come back so we can try.
