Every Moment I Long 4 You
Every Moment I Long 4 You

Do you miss the sun when the sky's full of clouds?
Warmth held at bay by a grey darkened shroud.
A stray beam of sunlight sneaks through here and there,
But of the absence of light, you are very aware.

Denied of the positive vibes that are needed.
Til blind optimism is all but depleted.
That's what it's like to be missing your touch.
In such a short time, grown to mean so damn much.

Feeling ashamed of thoughts now conceived,
Of the warmth that you bring. A diminished stress reprieve.
What is it about you that causes these feels?
And trying so hard to keep these feelings concealed.

Pondering too often, the taste of your lips,
Both hands on your hips,
Ante up all the chips.
A gamble that's worth every bit of the risk.
Never wanting to miss,
A chance for your kiss.

What is this longing you've so easily spawned?
Will we watch the sun rise, together before the dawn?
Will the warmth of our bodies every light up the night?
Can't deny that I'd try, I've never been known to lie.

Getting close enough to feel the full gravitation,
Of Two longing adjacents,
Separated by containment.
Two hearts one desire,
Hearts in flame. Like a pyre.
Praying that you'll never tire,

Of this spring time in bloom. This possible ending.
Trying to avoid rending, the life you've already been tending.
Many thoughts that bloom from the seeds,
Of the flower our budding love doth breed.

Grown from a hug, the most innocent touch.
Why is its absence this longed for? This much?
May the brightness never cease to inhabit your sky,
Now matter the closeness between you and I.

And lips that meet yours make your heart skip a beat.
Smiling so often even through your defeats.
May each promised day fill your heart with delight.
May I be your fondest thought, every time you close your eyes...
