Alone in a crowd

We in a serene environment
Just a small crowd of maybe ten people
Hanging out and having fun
As the night draws near
And the drinks passed around are beers
And the food being served around is pasta
We reminisce of the past and talk of the future
They talk I just listen
I watch their mouths and hear their words
But I'm just lost in my own world
I feel lost in this space
As I wrote this I just got lost in writing and blocked everything going on around I'm indeed alone in my thoughts
