The headline scream "Dozens die in Iraq"
And everyone asked, "What caused the attack?"
Homes on fire, destroyed by war,
Families flee, rockets fired from afar.
Bombs explode, does anyone care?
Everywhere there's terror or fear

what countries are to blame?
Don't we all share the same shame?
How many more lives,
To be taken away, before peace can strive?
There's already so many lost,
All these suffering and pain,
Can we count the cost?
What will the assassinates really gain?

Leaders of the world, unite and choose,
If not world peace, what good is the prize?
if not world peace, what is the price for our cries?
If not world peace, our future dies.
So do the right thing- Call for peace,
omit the war- This is true,
For this must instantly ease.
