Nature
The window had caught the drops,
straight from the dark sky.
Through the hazy pane,
I saw a lightning flash,
furiously hitting the lush green grass,
dampened by the downpour.

I saw the windows rattle ,
as the thunder disturbed the serenity.
It was cold and numb,
I saw the pigeons hide ,
Under the roofs of the neighborhood.

The cold wind swept past ,
reaching my bare hands,
Sending a shiver in my body.
The door creaked open,
Throwing at me a glare of light.
Nature was summoning me,
to dust myself up from the floor,
and to enjoy the beauty outside,
Beyond the slab of wood.

As I take myself out ,
from the closed four walls,
I felt the icy wind touch my heart.
There I stood staring at the sky,
Wondering how far ,
the drops might have travelled,
to bring tranquililty and happiness,
to mother earth and her children.

Alas! we are here,
treading over Mother Earth,
destroying everything,
humanity, nature and peace.
I sat down, getting wet in the rain,
gazing helplessly ,
at the water clogged ground,
hoping for a better world ,
a better world of humanity.
