In the end it was just me and my thoughts,
A painful trap, long after you were gone
Yes, your smell did linger on..
In fact, it still lingers on..
And I can feel your chaparone
even, when I am all alone.
I could strike you off from my phone
and could transform my heart into a stone.
But how do I get rid of your smell?
The fluid emotions, how do I quell?
You may be in a happy space now;
after my riddance somehow.
I try to forget and move on
but your smell lingers on...
