We are all parts of a Basquiat painting; palaminos, pine trees sunrise,
sin,
fog,
freckles,
galaxies,
leaves of family trees,
canyons dried from rain,
cheetah tear stains,
cracks in foundation,
wrinkles,
wood rings,
rusted links in a chain,
we are cosmically connected
in our cosmetic ways
stars in ours cells sealed
into place by immortal painters
adding to their galleries.
