little fluffy rat,
oh so sweet,
I think they're so cute,
with their tiny pink feet,
circle black eyes,
soulful and dark,
soft white fur,
with a distinctive black mark,
loving and calm,
what a sweet little pet,
sitting on my palm,
I'm so glad we've met!
small clenched fingers as they hold their food,
always jumping around,
always in a good mood,
sleepy closed eyes,
a little pink nose,
a little angel in disguise,
warm pink toes,
I have two little rats of my own,
they're one of the best things I've ever known.

I know that a lot of people HATE rats! but I made this poem about them because I think they're cute and clever and deserve much more attention!
