I always wondered
What the narrow road was.
I thought it was somewhere
Inside my solitary heart & mind. . .
The truth is so much more resplendent!

The street that we should follow
Is whatever street that speaks
To our inner beings & intellect
Instead of just blindly chasing down
Whatever street we happen to see.

In this way we're able to utilize
The rock -- to further build a stable
And resolute foundation to gain
Secret knowledge, wisdom & strength.

With this reasoning, no one street
Is the right street for everyone.
Also, we retain a unique Jesus
To guide us & heal us along the way.

Even though the path may be dark
And beset by troubles & strife;
If we listen to the stillness
And inner silence of our souls . . .

We'll eventually be able to relax
And regain inner silence & peace
Whilst residing by the tranquil water
Beyond the gate that leads towards
The light, Heaven, Jesus, & salvation.
