Behind The Curtains
Behind the thick walls
Only a stone throw away but
Not a faint shadow of the other side
I wish I had light to peep through
And see what it has to offer me
The darkest curtains drawn on
The truth, reality or the danger lurking
Will the sun rise from the east or the west?
Can't tell if heaven's bound to fall on
Earth. Not too far from me yet too far
From my sight and those of others.
I'm limited to only this broad light of
Day that looks like one side of a coin;
No way to see the other side than
Turn it round.
If only I could turn it round but it is time
Bound; only when the time is right
Tell me what I have to know...
Who knows tomorrow? Which eye captures
The wonders of tomorrow?
