mams mam
#InternationalWomensDay
I’ve never been the brightest,
I’ve never been outstanding,
life is so confusing,
so much misunderstanding,
But in a world that’s so uncertain,
I know on thing is true,
the love you have for me,
And the love I have for you,
My mother is a diamond,
She gave me everything,
She was brought up by my grandma,
Who gave her everything,
Because she is my Mams mam,
She taught her right from wrong,
She taught when life will knock you down,
get up and carry on,
She taught her people can be cruel
But you are good and you are strong,
You’ll always find a way through.
keep calm and carry on.
She taught her love and to be kind,
She really always has been,
My mam and her mam should wear crowns,
because they are both such queens,
My mams mam taught her to work hard,
And how to be a mum,
She did the best job,
And it shows,
coss she’s a brilliant one.
She taught us all that homes not bricks,
It’s not even a place,
It’s who is with you,
in your life,
The love shows on her face,
I used to think she’d always be,
I’d be a child forever,
But I grew up,
and time marched on,
And we were not together.
Miles like walls kept us apart,
then life got in the way,
But she is always in my heart and thoughts,
I love her every day.
If I could change things in my life,
the times I’ve felt alone,
I’d make things so I could be there,
Because she is my home.
Thank you so much my mams mam,
You helped make me who I am,
You are my home,
And I’m so proud,
I have you as my gran.
