In the quietest part of the night,
When you hover between dark and light,
Wondering if you can float away on dreams,
Hoping they won't turn into screams...

You tuck in your feet tightly with the sheets
Just the very thought sped up your heartbeat
Praying to Jesus he will keep you safe while you sleep
Praying the Lord your soul to keep
Praying he protects all the ones you love so deep
Asking Jesus forgiveness for all your sinful things
Knowing he will take them as far as west to east
He won't even remember them after forgiving these
pleading the blood of Jesus a truly strong prayer for protection and keeping away evil things
Thanking Jesus Christ in every way you can possibly think
