The day of the storm
And then one summer evening after a strident tornado,

Causing thundering and lightening and incessant rain.

I was the sea wave that caused havoc and you were the pristine earth that indulged in my play.

I enveloped the whole seashore with my cyclopean chaos.

You welcomed me with your yielding arms.

The day we met was marked as the doom by very heavens.

The sun set and the day ended.

Mindlessly receding, I didn't brood our parting.

Leaving you in shambles and with shimmering seashells

Though in my mind I sincerely hoped
We could meet so frequently as the
Sea and Earth

The only mark of our storm
Were the footprints on the sand

But my heart will never forget the day of the storm
