Deep within
I often wonder why we get to live another day and yet are confused where to start,
Staring from the edge of cliff to build new bridge knowing height is my biggest fear,
Weight that is drowning me from surface still can't cut loose the knot tied to my legs,
Cries loud enough to wake my dying soul recognise the anxiety from which I shiver,
Shallow breathes that I try hard to catch from all the nightmares i dream awake,
Carrying life full of mistakes and regrets from the past so hard to forgive and forget,
Nurturing the demon within cursed from darkness yet chants prayers full of hopes.
