How sweet and generous they may be,
How bitter and sour they may be,
Memories hurt deeply
As a thought hits, so does the imagery
Feels unfamiliar, seems impossible
But how cherish able, how font, how unique
Touching memories they all are
A smiley face displayed, with a tear next door
But indeed sweet, sour memories hurt
A pain felt deep in the gut
Each experience brings forth memories
Which lay out the memories made
Which really hits bottom rock
And how they wound thinking about them
Memories do hurt, like a shot to the head
Memories with which you never want to part
The heart keeps them safe,
But injure the poor heart.....
Every detail, word, became a memory,
Which became a pain with though
But memories hurt.
