February 29, I wrote a manuscript

Devil's bargain, a fools errand it is,

The scene doesn't feel quite right ,

But I'm sure I'll make it fit,

It's a long tale dearest, sit

We all have sins to atone,

You're tears fall on the pavement,

Like a broken home,

And your fear is a daggar,

I'll wake up in the morning, feeling a little less alone,

I'll delude myself into thinking your crocodile tears,

Didn't pave the way,

That they don't leach on to fear,

I didn't have a say,

Don't signal all clear,

Didn't you see the morning eclipse,

Didn't you see his blood smear,

A manuscript, a manuscript

I wrote a bloody manuscript

Did you get to the interesting bit?

I said I saw the way,

Signaled all clear,

They went to their death,

Trust is their Achilles heel,

Don't you wanna hear the end?

They thought I was a god send,

Didn't the idiots know?

That I leach off of fear,

Manuscript, manuscript,

Wrote a bloody manuscript,

Bad habits are bloody hard to quit,

She looks at me and she feels sick,

There's blood on the bubblegum,

That got stuck on her sneakers,

Always had a feeling,

I was gonna beat her,

Manuscript, manuscript,

Wrote a beautiful manuscript,

Like the blood on her sneakers,

Finally got the ending to stick.
