There's a man standing on my balcony
he's been juggling old apples and pears
he's wearing a psychedelic T-shirt
and a pair of blue seventies flares.

he just stands and stares at me
he looks rather cold and tired
I think i'll make him a cup of tea.

There's a man standing on my balcony
he's always doing some kind of mime
I'd love to sit down and watch him
but I just haven't got the time.

he walks along the washing line
as long as he doesn't pull it down
I guess everything will be fine.

There's a man standing on my balcony
he turns up the same time every day
sometimes I find him totally annoying
I wish he would just go away.

he's charming to people passing by
but he can also be very insensitive
last week he made my neighbour cry.

There's a man standing on my balcony
he's been there almost every week
now he's pointing and laughing at me
which I think is a blooming cheek.

There's a man standing on my balcony
he stands well over six foot foor
I find this all weird and confusing
because I live on the fourteenth floor!

There's a man standing on my balcony
but you can't see him and i'll tell you why
this man is from my silly imagination
and all these words are just a made up lie!
