Stranger in the rain
Huddled under my umbrella,
I looked at the skies above,
Rain pouring down in torrents,
What against me did the heaven’s have?
That’s when I noticed her,
Walking barefoot in the ,
Not a care in the world,
nothing to refrain.
She stood in the street,
Staring up and defying the gods,
And suddenly she sprinted,
jumping all odds.
I jerked ahead to see,
where was she headed in such a hurry,
But she had disappeared down the street,
Causing me to worry.
For a moment I dreaded,
Had something happened to her?
The stranger in the rain,
My doubts began to stir.
The honking bus,
broke into my thoughts,
I went aboard,
still scanning the the streets.
As my bus was swallowed,
into the traffic onslaught,
Mere moments passed
before I thought,
Oh! whatever happened again,
To that stranger in the rain.
I looked at the skies above,
Rain pouring down in torrents,
What against me did the heaven’s have?
That’s when I noticed her,
