Tears of a Widow
𝑻𝑬𝑨𝑹𝑺 𝑶𝑭 𝑨 𝑾𝑰𝑫𝑶𝑾.

Tears of a mother,
Her eyes are now rivers of tears,
Her pillow case now soaked,
Washing her face with tears,
All the night long.

The silly and proud moments,
Tears rolling down her face,
Mother's tears,
An instant prayer to God,
That needs instant answers.

Mother praying to God,
To bless her children,
To safekeep her children,
Day and night,
Talking to God.

Her face,
Long and solemn,
Her eyes,
swollen and red,
Tossing and turning,
As she lay in her bed.

Life getting so tough every second,
She keeps asking God many Questions,
But
The questions,
With no answers,
Still adding to the pain,
Of a weeping mother,
Needing to understand.

She bowls her Head with Faith,
Asking God for blessings,
Asking God for peace,
She cries out loud at night,
The tears that burn her skin,
like acid in the rain.
Plaguing and beating down
on the window pane.
She stands on guard,
waiting by the window,
thus she will get the answer.

She prays to wake in morning,
She prays to have her children blessed,
It is only in the dreams,
only a dream,
she hoped to see God.
