In the end it was just me and my thoughts,
A painful trap, long after you were gone
I looked out of the window, to relax myself
And lo! what a sight I did behold!
Flowers and leaves gently dancing in the evening breeze
I looked up and found birds returning to their nests
The Sky itself was getting ready for the Twilight Hour
The Sun was gently going down as a big red ball
Suddenly I felt so light and liberated
Free from the trap of those painful thoughts
"Life is very beautiful..." an inner voice I could hear
"...if you know which thoughts to hold and which ones to let go"
