Shattered to rubble & ashes
and my heart inflamed.
It rains frozen tears,
a bitter hailstorm of disappointment,
and they tear down the rising hope.

I search for your heart,
I long for your love,
I cry for us.
The sky was empty,
far away on the horizon.
stars float in it,
the only thing left
in this chaos of
rubble & ashes.

The night was silent around me,
it was always night around me.
In this night my spirit walks,
the only soul in this world
still living and walking
and looking after this life
that slowly fades to death.
