A day in which words flow like rivers of lava flowed down the volcano,
A day in which our token has taken pride and made us proud,
A day in which we illuminate the mysterious feeling clouded,
A day in which a pen dances to the tune of ink and paper.

If not for poetry, my heart would have been dumb;
I wouldn't be able to inscribe what my heart cried;
If not for poetry, my mind would have been blind;
I wouldn't be able to describe the fantasy in hand.

Only through poetry one travels to a wonderland,
Only through poetry such a spectacular day is celebrated,
What a day,
The World Poetry Day!
