Fate
In the wake of the day, I wake up to the morning of a sky Grey
Because I know what hides behind the world's face
I see the Government, and their obsessive need, to defend for themselves and let the impoverished die beneath
They say black lives matter, but really worth is far from the ladder
And really open to those who obtain power
Including the greedy, the wealthy, and those in office who see me
And the struggles my people face daily
We represent, not a country, but a regime
And only freedom is invisible to the white men that rain Supreme
But all I hope tonight, is when I turn off the lights, I see God from an open sight
And pray to Heaven for a miracle to bestow upon me
That my family may never suffer poverty, a fate far too common with the black and brown community
We need to change, even though that's what they have been promising for many nights to see, it only adds up to the hypocrisy their feeding me
And the people who see the treachery, trying to fight for equality, against the blue uniforms meant to protect the weak
God forgive me, even tough you suffered violence at the hands of evil at its peak
I now know the pain in this world I was not supposed to see
A world of African-Americans and Latinos who suffer, a Government who tries to cover
But one day the world will uncover the corruption we see
And all I hope for eternity is that the new world brings some new promise to put me at ease
For all our Brothers and Sisters taken away from casualties, we just want peace
To be taken up from the Spirits of the man who gave his life up for humanity, and now it's time we pay our depths as society
And let the ones who have been abused and ignored speak
Because injustice somewhere is injustice everywhere and I hope God forgives my sins when I get there
When I look upon the news of the darkening layers of faith
I get down on my knees and say a prayer that I may rest in good fate
