"Cost of Everything"
Oh! that thunder-struck dawn,
Grandma yelling from the lawn;

wakeup for the mushrooms sprout,
who wanted to be the scout?

that screeching door would quiver,
my brothers earlobes would shiver,

i am going all alone as a headhunter,
don't fall prey you'll taste my anger!

that first bark in unison,
will resolve disputes and be reunion,

of our monumental adventure,
my brother issuing an indenture!

of so and so territories he'll reign,
to grandmother i'll complain!

thereby sharing some of the raid,
how do those mushrooms fade!

before my seeking socketed-eyeballs
who says i don't know what befalls?

grandmother's voice was fading with home,
everything has a cost, everything is syndrome!
