UNTITLED

Of what use, dear spirit, is a scream?
I'd rather that you tried the tranquility of a thawing silvery dew
Or the silence of a rising steam
I'd rather that you embraced the harmony of a falling leaf
Or changed, like a caterpillar, and claded anew
For white, I'd prefer to red
Of what use, dear spirit, is rage?
I'd rather that you tried the quietness of a fading flame
Or the peacefulness of a folding flower in sunset
I'd rather that you adopted the docility of a disappearing moon
For there's ferocity in peace and wordy, still, is the deafening silence while in gloom
Find warmth, O' mine spirit, in tears from the parting of thy comfort
And verily, I'd rather that, amid tension, calmness you aught to sought
