Come to the hidden forest, I'll be waiting in the glen.
It could be some time before my heart gets in the game again.
I have danced the dance of lovers while giving them my all,
But this life's like Cinderella's if she had not shown for the ball.

I'm dancing in the meadow to the babble of the streams.
Being called a servant of the devil but it's not quite what it seems,
With a soul that's looking for relief in the midst of all creation,
And a mind that's free and feels at ease while rebuilding my situation.

Judge not the road I've traveled when these walls were quietly cracking.
There's no excuse for some decisions though self-care was sorely lacking.
Still dancing by the trees that once would watch us holding hands.
Trying to escape the memories that are now more than most could stand.

Leaving my shoes out in the plains that lead to the perfect escape.
The moss feels nice between my toes. The softness feels just great.
The deeper the path into the woods the more the stress goes away.
Wandering to the entrance of a long forgotten cave.

This is the place to camp in hopes a hero will appear.
They'll have to work to find my heart, but it's worth the journey here.
Accept all of my faults and please forgive the poor decisions.
The punishment has gone long enough. You can see the scars from the incisions.

Building strong foundations so the king won't fall again.
With a head that's finally screwed on straight for the healing to begin.
Like a phoenix, always rising up, from a flaming pile of ashes.
The wind is blowing the past away if the bright orange flaming patches.

So if you'd like to find real love I'll tell you where to start.
This love is not a game nor is it for the faint of heart.
But if you're willing to fight this fight through all upcoming issues
You'll never face the world alone. I'll fight each battle with you!!
