Chronicles of Our Time
It was always meant to be ephemeral
It was only a moment of wholeness and revival
Now, the clock ticks against its ephoric essence
And the mighty wave of partition swallows it whole in the present.

After months of togetherness and joy
We knew that it would somewhat only be destroyed
The bond we made was strong, no doubt
But you may never know what this is about.

I may have caught it by mistake
And didn't know what to do with it, that is my take
But I never did throw it into the void of the lake
Because it felt so right, but wrong, I was afraid.

We may never see each other again
I take with me the unrequited feeling and pain
I know you will be mad again and again
If you knew the truth and what I didn't gain.

Spare me to take just a dime
And make it forever mine
Maybe someday, I will grow and be fine
But hold with you, the chronicles of our time.
