A new world of pouts, clown faces and thin frames,
The lines of reality are blurred, rather, visibly lame,
Where self-love and selfie fever turn supreme,
As all go mad in their own self-adoration sheen,

Self-worth measured by likes and shares,
Hearts and souls gone bankrupt
but who cares,
The thin and the lean go for pose
and pout,
Bodies toned and chiseled, without
any doubt,
But self-worth is defined by FB and Instagram
likes,
Alas! Real worth is consumed by virtual spikes.

In this fake world of self-love and selfie fever,
Real happiness is hard to find, it’s never delivered,
For true fulfilment is not found in the lens,
But in family, nature and true friends,

So put down your smartphones, and look around,
And behold the beauty in the world profound,
Mind it, likes and shares are temporary clicks,
Count your real blessings simply,no big tricks,

Remember, beauty is not found in a selfie’s glow,
But in hearts enlightened, who appreciate and truly know.
