SEVENTEEN
Being Seventeen,
Every day a new drama, a new scene.
Life showed up being so unfair, so mean.
Many things I'm running away from,
Trying not to be seen.
Took my life for granted back then,
Because I was being treated as a queen.
Now, the reality hits quite deep,
Wishing it's just a nightmare and I'm just asleep.
And this heart of mine, scared of the secrets I keep.
Scared of the darkness I see.
Life has played some dirty tricks on me.
Didn't realise it would turn out quite mean,
Now I'm waiting patiently for this phase of my life to end , called "teen".
