The beauty of the recently forgotten
In a dim memory, a fading past,
An elegance unnoticed, yet vast;
An unfinished painting,
With imagination’s casting,
A stone transforms to tower’s mass.

A lizard dances into dragon’s flight,
Parrot’s hues blend to phoenix’s light;
As in my mind does linger,
The lady in red, vivid singer,
Though her face eludes my sight.

No more her visage clear, I confess,
Only amethyst eyes, my heart’s duress,
Longing for what’s lost,
Her voice, an angel’s cost,
Now a faint buzz, I must acquiesce.

Her crimson gown, lost within my mind’s deep,
Yet my mind, fickle, in memories, will leap;
No fretting shall take hold,
For if love or infatuation’s bold,
I might see her again in memory’s keep.
