Reality
I'm not afraid of my past,
But what the future holds—
It’s terrifying.
You can’t guess what might happen,
Too many plot twists in life.
How amusing,
The more I lose myself in thoughts of the future,
The more crystal-clear pearls trickle down my skin,
Cascading my cheeks like a quiet river.
I am strong, or at least I used to be.
Now I hate everything.
I barely recognize my own face, my own self.
How pitiful,
But that’s reality.
