Trapped in the maze
Nowhere to go
How does one move on
Knowing the other part exists
The magnetism
Continues to persist
Rearranging all I thought I knew
The tangled mess of emotion
Insuring you withdrew
Behind the walls
You’ve built so high
Denying the fact
You feel anything at all
I hear the lie
Lingering in room
The fact you exist
Making it so hard to resume
Living my life like I did before
Alone
How can I close the door
With the unknown
Gnawing on the edge
The echo of the mallet
Driving in the wedge
Words are easy enough
Saying I’ll let it lie
The roiling emotion
Buried inside
Knowing the other half exists
Impossible to resist
Bind me
Stop me from pursuit
Telling myself there must be
