In the depths of my soul, I seek to find
A joy that never fades, a peace that's kind
So tired of hurting, sick of the pain
I seek a refuge from the endless strain

I lift my eyes up to the sky above
And offer up my burdens to a God of love
For I am weary, and I cannot stand
To carry all this baggage, all this weight in my hand

I long to be happy, to find some rest
To know that in my heart, I am truly blessed
And so I give my sadness, my despair
To a God who hears my voice and my prayer

He lifts me up, and gives me wings to fly
He wipes away my tears, He dries my eyes
And in His embrace I find my place
A home of peace, a sanctuary of grace

So I'll keep on believing, keep on seeking
For the promise of joy that's everlasting
And though the road ahead may be long
I'll trust in the One who gives me a song

A song of hope, of faith, of love
A song that soars to the heavens above
And in that song I find my way
To a life of peace, to a brand new day.
