Dancing on the floor as I stand by and watch all the rest,
putting me on the side even though I passed all of her tests,
Looking on from the side lines watching from the outside what do I have to do to make her see me as I wait my whole life just to be known as something other than her second best?
Taking in my last breath I look on as my face turns blue,
please don't tell me that you didn't see me
as I was standing right in front of you, but I guess I was only hidden right in plain sight,
giving all the other guys the first chance as I would wait for her love but it never came
knowing no one else could ever understand her, she keeps her feelings hidden
so she won't have to see the pain she feels on the inside as they all take advantage of the opertunities that were supposed to be mine and yet she thinks they all played out the same as it should and everything would be just fine.
Don't let her see the disappointment that now completely covers my face, a single tear falls down from my eye as the salt from within my loss would be the only thing I would ever taste.
Do as you must as we can all see just what a waste, treated like just another speed bump on the road to nowhere as they put you down so she will finally know what it feels like to be where I've been hidden all along ...
So alone and left behind and this is where I will stay, on my own and still in second place.
